Wintrust’s Sponsorship Outreach
Wintrust’s Sponsorship Outreach
In today’s corporate landscape, it’s common to see businesses and organizations attaching their names to various sponsorships and philanthropic endeavors for brand recognition. At Wintrust, our bread and butter is when we can really get involved with an initiative, not just slap our name on a sponsorship, donate money, and call it a day.
We know what you’re thinking.
“But Wintrust? I see your name everywhere.”
Yes, we know you’ve probably seen our logo around town. Maybe you’re at a baseball or college basketball game in Illinois or Wisconsin, stuck in traffic on the highway slowly passing billboard after billboard, or maybe you catch a glimpse of a Wintrust logo while on a boat on Lake Michigan or during the Magnificent Mile Lights Festival parade. We like to think that means you’re never too far from your neighborhood bank.
But what does our name associated with all of these different buildings, organizations, iconic institutions, and not-for-profits really mean?
Wintrust was founded on a desire to serve — serve our communities, our customers, our employees, and our stakeholders. We know that funds are essential to supporting community partners, but we have found that the way to sustainably build communities is through a multi-tiered engagement. From volunteering with programming, serving on nonprofit boards, teaching financial education and wellness courses to providing space for community partners to meet, we are at our best, when we can support in multiple ways beyond dollars.
We like to take things beyond “doing the right thing.”

With the opening of the North Austin Center in 2023, Wintrust is helping close the opportunity gap in youth sports for multiple underserved neighborhoods on Chicago’s west side. Intentional Sports, which was instrumental in the development of the 150,000-square-foot sports and community center, named Wintrust its Champion Partner. Our contribution allows this nonprofit to provide more than 20 hours of free or low-cost programming each week. Additionally, we help fund wraparound support services provided by on-campus community partners After School Matters, By The Hand, and Grace and Peace Church.
Chicago Cubs Charities & Cubs RBI:
Wintrust annually supports Chicago Cubs Charities in many events throughout the year, and we are the presenting sponsor for Cubs RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities), a youth outreach program designed to increase participation and interest in baseball and softball among youth. Not only is Wintrust the front-of-jersey sponsor for the Chicago Red Stars, but we are the premier sponsor for their youth girls clinics held throughout the Chicagoland area, which work towards making the sport accessible for all. We’re incredibly honored to be involved in their player-led initiatives, supporting Girls in the Game, Beyond the Ball, and Girls, Inc. There are a total of 40 clinics during the season. DePaul University
Through our partnership with DePaul University, Wintrust sponsors several events throughout the year aimed at community engagement and educational initiatives. Our “Wintrust Blankets” event brings student-athletes and coaches together to create fleece blankets, which are then donated to organizations in need. We host a field trip day for Chicago Public School students to watch a DePaul basketball game at Wintrust Arena. And finally, as presenting sponsor of “Wintrust Reads,” we encourage children to embrace reading, offering school kits, Junior Savers Club®1 promotions, and complimentary tickets to select DePaul basketball games to reward their efforts in reading.
